It's really very rare to catch a glimpse of cougars in the wild. I've known people who spend most of their lives outdoors and never seen one.

That said, I saw one once. In southwest Oregon, near Roseburg. It's an area with a rather high cougar population. But I wouldn't recommend spending any time or money going there to look, because, like I said, it's very rare to see one.

Church (esp. evening masses)
Cocktail bars that are old and shitty so that the young crowd isn't there. If you see too many old men, leave. It might be full of codgers and not cougars.
Hair salons.
Bunco clubs.
Bingo parlors.
