Angel or Devil? You decide....

My little dog Egypt is such a sweetie. She loves to give doggy kisses. She is an undercover lover at night and keeps my feet warm.

But if she finds the door open just a crack - POW - out like a rocket and into the woods! Every. Single. Time. :banghead:

Mr. MB was unloading his car and was making multiple trips, so the door was cracked.

I was cooking and had my back to the door. Next thing I know, he is baby-talking in the yard and she is mocking him by heading straight to the woods, turning and stopping to listen, and then jetting.

I was not about to go in there after her. I know from experience that she will NOT come back, and I can spend hours in there chasing her down.

Tonight, she was trotting parallel to the road he was walking along when she reached a drainage culvert. She suddently found herself soaking wet, and came running back to Daddy

So is she an angel for coming back, or a devil for taking off in the first place?

3. Perhaps some obedience training would get to
curb some of that running away.

She's an adorable dog. :)

In that picture she looks like she's thinking, "Dear God, what is that thing in front of Mom's face?"
:P

5. She is the model student at puppy school.
She will come at the slightest call, running through petsmart like nobody's business. It's the woods

I can't blame her though, she is very prey driven and there are tons of critters out there. The other morning at 5am she was barking up a storm because there were three deer in the yard. I came down and brought her back up, told her to stay and she promptly took off back downstairs to bark and whine some more.

She is soooo cute though - I can never stay mad.

Hey, let's work out a little trip for you....I am coming to NYC sometime during the last week of August and then we can drive back up here if you'd like, unless you want to come sooner..... :pals:

8. I have very few plans this summer.
So pick a good weekend and I'll buy a train ticket.

Remind me in the beginning of August and I'll see if I can get some time off while you're here. If you've got the time I'd love to hang out with you while you're here. :)

9. You are welcome ANYTIME you'd like -
depends on what you want to do.....

In late July/August there is the "track season" - and with Big Brown competing for the triple crown, it could be fun and interesting.

Also, there is SPAC - www.spac.org

If you see something you'd like to go to, then that is an option as well.

12. Ooh! I'd love to see the Orchestra.
:7

I haven't gone to a concert of any kind in a long time. Their season doesn't start until August though, so if you don't mind seeing me twice that month, how does the weekend of August 16th sound?

19. The weekend before that is probably better - and
I can look into lawn seats for the orchestra....the great part is you can BYO food and beverage - so if you want, the ticket is the only expense incurred.

:loveya::hug::loveya:

I am so happy we are making plans. :pals:

6. She's such a little rat....
The cat sneaks out once in a while too, but I think the outdoors scares him because I just open the door and he darts back in like a bullet.

20. I call our Fox Terror
The Devious And Conniving Little Weasel. It fits her perfectly. The only time she's a little angel is when she's asleep and even then sometimes she cuts some of the most godawful dog farts.
