Yes, I donate. Yes, both of my cats are rescues. And that commercial just kills me every time I see it.

1. Yeah. I'm with ya.
It just aired - I'm watching Meet the Press.

I love Sarah McLachlan, I love animals - but jeez, I shouldn't have to grab a box of tissues for commercials.

2. I run from the room, fingers in ears saying "la la la la..."
every time it comes on (or I turn the TV off, if I can find the remote). I have 7 cats, every single companion animal we've ever had has been a stray or rescue. I can't handle the commercial, either.

3. Pure genius.
That song has been a proven tear jerker for animals for going on a decade now.

7. It's not the song so much as the one-eyed shih tzu that sets me off every time.
Great commercial, it just breaks my heart every time I see it.

8. For me it's the kitty at the end, who reaches its paw out between the cage bars.

11. That's the one that gets to me, too.
I take the older ones, and have adopted two dogs prone to seizures, and have had a lot of vet bills, but I still feel guilty about that little dog...;(

5. Me to.
I donate monthly.

My housemates donate monthly.

Please everyone give so the commerical doesn't come on so often.

Between the pictures and the song, I didn't stand a chance.

6. omg EVERY time
  I have had to get up and leave the tv before, soon as I hear the music. Now whenever that song comes on my computer I can hardly keep it together. Her voice will always make me think of sweet doggies that no one loved

10. I am totally with you. That one rips my heart out and I have to leave the room.
All my guys have been rescue, too, seven dogs and three cats in my life, because I adopt the older ones. And I donate to animal charities, too. I hope that it wakes some people up, but it gets to me everytime.;(

12. Yeah me, too.
The other one that gets me is a local one about adopting kids. They're all older, ethnic or kids with problems. Therefore unadoptable. Rips my heart out.

Khash.
