I know it is probably odd. But saying piggly wiggly makes me giggle.

1. I read the other day that the man who opened / owned Piggly Wiggly
was the first to open a real 'supermarket' - it used to be you'd go food shopping and tell the clerk at the counter what you wanted, & the clerk would retrieve it for you. Mr. Piggly Wiggly opened up a store where you could wander up and down aisles, choosing whatever you wanted - so, the first "self-serve" grocery store.

But they've got it all wrong - EVERYONE knows from "Driving Miss Daisy" that it's THE Piggly Wiggly :D

3. Pink Palace Museum in Memphis features a reproduction of it.
Kinda neat. Really points out that there wasn't as much stuff to buy back then.

6. There are 2 here in Denton
We live down the street from one. I variously refer to it as the Pig, the Wig, or the wigglin Pig.
