Any favorite Harvey Korman "Carol Burnett Show" memories?
I love Harvey's breaking up to Tim Conway--always!! Everybody remembers the dentist sketch, but my favorite is where Tim is an old man in a cleaners shop and Harvey is the customer and comes in to pick up his suit and Tim gets attached to the contraption that hangs the clothes and is going back and forth on it and Harvey can't keep a straight face.

1. OMG, that was a classic. And who can forget Harvey totally
losing it when Carol Burnett descended the staircase with a curtain rod running through her Scarlett O'Hara gown??

6. His Max in the Sunset Blvd send ups.
Easy to tell he was nearly busting a gut holding in the laugh. Lucky man, he was getting paid working at something he loved.

14. I'm watching it without audio.
It's fun enough watching Tim Conway deliver deadpan, and Burnett her damndest trying not to crack up.

He's telling two off the wall stories about elephants. Anyone who can watch it without laughing has no soul.

Conway is one of the funniest people in the history of the universe.

10. Didn't they do a "best legs"segment once?
I have this memory of Carol Burnett announcing that they were going to have a contest to see who in the cast and crew had the best legs, and that she was taking herself out of the running because, of course, she'd win. So with the participants draped by a curtain or something, except for their legs, the contest took place. Audience applause indicated the ranking.

When the curtain was lifted, viewers saw all the men, with shaved and hosiery-clad legs, had been the participants, not the women. I forget who won, but the whole thing was a hoot.

12. I always loved it when Harvey would crack up during the skits...
even when the writing was not that funny! It was nice "they" wouldn't cut and do a retake for the filming . It was enjoyable to see someone love their work. He was a good comedic actor because he had a wonderful sense of humor.

17. I don't remember his compliment on the subject of Scarlett's dress...
...but I will never forget her rejoinder: "I saw it in the window, and just couldn't resist it!"

One of the all-time great moments on TV.

15. I loved his writer sketches, where everyone else would act out what he wrote and
he would keep changing everything. LOL And of course Rat Butler, As The Stomach Turns, and any time he and Tim cracked each other up were priceless.

19. Tim Conway as a shuffling, dotty old hot dog vendor ...
Tim: "Fries are done."

{sound effect, loud sizzling of oil}

{He dumps a handful of fries into a basket}

Harvey: "You ... you just stuck your hand into that hot oil!"

{Tim stares at hand, cross-eyed}

{slowly, comprehension dawns ... }

{he draws out the pause ... }

Tim: "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahh!!"

Harvey cracked up so bad they almost couldn't finish the sketch! He was trying to play an angry, impatient, customer while all this bufoonery was going on ... it was kind of like watching someone being tickled to the point of torture!
