Changes made to a Living Trust
---

Interesting meeting with the estate attorney yesterday on how my sis and I dissolve the Family Trust.

Turns out that a change, my dearly departed Mom made, 3.5 years ago forever changed the equal sharing of the Trust which is in conflict with the directions of the Trust to "share equal parts among living children" (my sis and I).
It swayed it to one side more and more as time passed.

The attorney said my Mom wrote up the change and would not listen to them for advice. That is where it stopped and the change was made.

I guess my question would be:
Was the estate attorney obligated to let my Mom know, at least via a letter since she didn't want to hear it verbally, of how this change affected the Trust over time?

My Mom actually thought that the change she made did not affect the equal sharing of our family trust, until the day she died.
