7. I didn't catch it.
Maybe it's because I was pretty groggy past midnight on Wednesday/Thursday.

8. It happened while he was being interrogated by the Janitor from Scrubs
You know, right before they declared him a "person of interest" and then ignored him for the rest of the film?

9. They were kind of in South America for the rest of the film.
Though there were a couple of eyeroll inducing moments, I thought that overall the movie was pretty good.

10. Well, he got out of the country pretty easily, for a "person of interest"
Also, you'd think that the FBI would have commented on his broad-daylight chase with the KGB in the US.

Though there were a couple of pretty good moments, I thought that overall the moview was pretty eyeroll inducing!

11. well I'm really happy that they didn't end it where they should have then
because that would make for a pretty crappy movie. I'm not sure how many people would have tuned in to see "Indiana Jones and the Homeland Security Watchlist."

12. It would have been easy to avoid that bit altogether
They could simply have skipped those two lines of dialogue. Instead, they put a gun on the table in the first act, and it's not used by the end of the third.

Far and away the weakest film in the series.

13. Definitely the weakest of the 4. Not even close.

But the first three really set the bar very high. I don't let little stuff like that spoil movies for me though. Far more important to me are overall direction like pace and scene development. Do I care what happens next to the characters? Yes.

16. Wow. I don't know...
Raiders was so well executed that the sequels hardly even seem to be part of the same series. They sequels all had too many moments that required "overlooking," as compared with the original, which really didn't have any IIRC.

The current film? The ants. The jeep-straddling swordfight. The three waterfalls. The basic premise. The FBI thing I mentioned. And on and on. The film required far too many concessions by the viewer, as compared with the originals, and even II and III were shadows of Raiders.

YMMV, of course, and I'm glad that you enjoyed the film! :hi:

17. Scenes that I wasn't into were...
Shia's fine swinging, the final climax with the UFO, and the wedding.

I do agree that Raiders is flawless. It's probably my favorite movie of all time. Just perfect film making all around.

15. Well, there *was* one scene in which Indy kicked Ridley Scott's revisionist ass
That was pretty cool.
