Any word on Greyhound these days?

Greyhound Lines is an inter-city common carrier of passengers by bus serving over 3,700 destinations in the United States. It was founded in Hibbing, Minnesota, USA, in 1914 and incorporated as "The Greyhound Corporation" in 1926. Today, it is headquartered in Dallas, Texas (United States operations) and Calgary, Alberta (Canadian operations), and is a subsidiary of the British bus operator FirstGroup plc.

1. Yes.
The word is "suckage".

They've cut most of the routes that served smaller towns. I've heard stories that they don't always announce departures, meaning you go to take a pee and find out your bus just left. In Palm Springs, they moved the stop to the edge of town -- outside an office building. And so on, ad nauseam.

3. it is a wonder they can do anything with the cost of fuel
skyrocketing. I watch for it to do like airlines....

I also wonder how long metro bus systems can continue ....looking for their prices to skyrocket as well...

7. It's been like this for a few years now
well before the fuel price spike.

That could, however, prove to be the final straw, leaving millions of non-driving Americans (like me) without access to 95% of the country. :scared:
