I have no real recipes to offer. When I got my braces put on, I lived on knishes. :shrug:

2. plastic spoons and make sure they give you some extra wax.

my daughter is on her second set and she also had 2 pallet expanders and every configuration of headgear available. For the first week she had her braces on she used plastic spoons and forks in order to avoid the dreaded painful collision with her teeth, wax and she took advil.

3. tylenol

I remember the days of braces. How sensitive my teeth would be for days after an adjustment. Soft food is and should be on your menu for a while.

Make sure the orthodontist gives you some wax. It's to put on the brackets so they don't scratch and tear the soft tissue of the inside of your mouth.
