Who likes pulp in their orange juice?
seriously I can't stand pulp..when I go to the cafeteria to get breakfast you can get oj with no pulp some pulp or lots of pulp.
I hate pulp and I notice that the no pulp option always sells out first..
I don't understand the appeal of pulp honestly..yick.

1. I do. Without pulp it doesn't seem like citrus juice to me.
The "lots of pulp" commercial oj is weird though -- that's more pulp than I would have in fresh squeezed juice.

30. Having grown up in an orange and grapefruit grove in Orlando.....
my grandfather picked a grapefruit each morning for breakfast for us kids... and having fresh OJ, fresh squeezed almost every day.... Simply Orange brand juice with heavy pulp is just like fresh squeezed.

I used to buy a bushel of Valencia oranges and juice them for the neighbours here in Charlotte as Christmas gifts....

And I put some vodka in my OJ on weekends. It ain't the quality of the vodka it's the quality of the OJ that makes the drink.

6. I do.
What's more, anytime you see health benefits information (you know, a 12oz. glass of OJ contains 200% of your DRV of vitamin C, those sorts of things) on the news or in grower's association commercials, unless it specifies that it is pertaining to "no-pulp", they're almost always talking about OJ with pulp. The pulp contains most of the nutritional value of the OJ, the liquid is mostly fructose and water.

Pulpless OJ is flavory, colored water; especially if it's from concentrate. I do like it too; if I have an option, I go with the healthier stuff.

8. Only if its fresh squeezed
If its juice from concentrate, I like it no pulp.

But if you are talking about fresh squeezed, pulp is okay.

11. I like pulp
But I have such horrid heartburn when I drink OJ anymore that I never drink it anymore. This upsets me greatly, as one of the few truly blissful joys in my life was to chug a glass of ice cold OJ.

15. pulp is just some weeds and sticks and stuff they grind up
and put in the "orange juice" to trick the rubes into believing the "orange juice" came from a real orange.

...though I prefer low acid over low pulp, so if it has low acid, I'm okay with some pulp.

What's with the commercials and juices bragging about extra pulp? Eww... :puke:

so I guess this question doesn't really apply to me. :silly: Seriously, I can't drink the stuff straight - it makes me sick. But when I mix it with Sprite, 7-Up, or ginger ale, I prefer the pulp-free kind. :hi:

37. i'm impartial to pulp
I'm a flip flopper :) But I always buy the low-pulp kind, even though I think the pulp is healthy and gives you fiber or something. It can get gross around the edge of the glass I think.

I like my juice chunk-free, thank you. Liquid is supposed to be just that, liquid. I'm a real texture freak though. There are many things that I won't eat based on the texture, even if they taste good.
