It is absolutely gorgeous outside and I am stuck in my cubicle - but that isn't really it.....

I am really starting to feel the economic pinch of spending over $400 a month on gas alone.

I am feeling very poor today - both financially and emotionally...

You should see the freaking list of things Little MB needs for camp....just the footlocker alone is $150. :wow:

I know it will be okay eventually, but damn it - I got paid today and it is all gone...

6. Sorry, malta
I can't seem to climb out of my slump either. I've read a couple trashy novels, eaten some seriously decadent desserts after downing major comfort food and I'm still sad. I wish we lived closer and we could meet up, have a few cocktails and try to cheer each other up. Alas, the best I can give you today is  Hope soon your spirits soar.

8. the comfort food is killing me

I have gained so much weight this past winter my mom asked me if I had a tumor or something because I have belly fat for the first time (I mean BELLY FAT)*ugh*

The worst part is I did not eat anything I wasn't before, and the past month I have forced myself to be more active, and I notice the belly more and more every day :(

 to you too Debi.

9. I hope it passes soon MB
I'm in a similar thing myself. A gorgeous day and I'm feeling so lazy I'm just looking at the day from my porch sipping coffee and awaiting inspiration. :P

Is your dog outside on the porch with you?

Hugging my dog is about the only thing that is lifting my spirits these days....

11. The dogs are actually my entertainment
My little one is a terrorist and the big one is an oaf.

The closest house to me is about 200 yards away. They have 3 pomeranians. I call them the rat pack.

My little dog sees them then starts yapping and chasing the poms. My big dog looks at me like wha?!? The 3 poms don't back down and chase my little one back. This excites the big one and he goes about 1/2 way between the houses and crouches down like a herding dog would do. rinse and repeat.

It is so funny because he becomes like an invisible fence.

Just have to see it to get the full picture :P

Here is a big smile for you.

12. I have a rat terrier and a beagle mix.
The rattie is a terrier terror for sure - she just sits in the sunroom waiting for someone to walk by with a large dog and then she barks like she owns the entire block and tears through the house, stopping at each window.

My beagle mix is sick these days - she is 15 and really slowing down. She fell down the stairs twice earlier this week and is on meds for a kidney/bladder infection. I am keeping all fingers and toes crossed that she recuperates soon and I have my big love muffin back for a little while longer.

That story is great! I wish I could get another rat terrier, but I am afraid of becoming the lady who lives near the woods with a million little dogs. I could see it happening....
