THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST KANSAS AND MISSOURI...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...IN SOUTHEAST KANSAS... BOURBON...CHEROKEE AND CRAWFORD. IN MISSOURI...BARRY...BARTON...BENTON... CAMDEN... CEDAR...CHRISTIAN...DADE... DALLAS...DENT...DOUGLAS...GREENE... HICKORY...HOWELL...JASPER(My County)...LACLEDE... LAWRENCE...MARIES... MCDONALD... MILLER...MORGAN...NEWTON...OREGON... OZARK... PHELPS...POLK...PULASKI... SHANNON...ST. CLAIR...STONE... TANEY...TEXAS...VERNON...WEBSTER AND WRIGHT.

* FROM 7 AM CDT THIS MORNING THROUGH LATE TONIGHT

* EXCESSIVE RAINFALL AND FLOODING WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS CENTRAL AND WESTERN MISSOURI TUESDAY MORNING AND WILL SHIFT EAST INTO EASTERN SECTIONS OF THE MISSOURI OZARKS THIS AFTERNOON. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE OVER SOUTHEAST KANSAS AND WESTERN MISSOURI INTO CENTRAL MISSOURI WITH RAINFALL AMOUNTS UP TO AN INCH OVER THE EASTERN MISSOURI OZARKS. WITH THE RECENT FLOODING AND HEAVY RAIN OVER THE PAST COUPLE OF MONTHS... ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN WILL LEAD TO MORE FLOODING TODAY.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED TORNADO WATCH 172 IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT THIS MORNING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS

IN MISSOURI THIS WATCH INCLUDES 3 COUNTIES

IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI
