Anyone else ever sell motor vehicles for a living?
I did it for 8 years in Michigan and Wisconsin.
BTW, you must be licensed to sell motor vehicles in Wisconsin unlike those pirates in Michigan.

I loved it!

4. It's different when you are on a car lot
a whole culture different.
It was fascinating for me.
I enjoyed it without reservation and so did most of the people that I sold to.
It was fun that way-and I never worried about meeting quotas or aftermarket sales--someone is always looking to buy a vehicle somewhere.

People trusted me because I'm an honest person. I worked for some dishonest owners at times, but most of the dealers I worked for were honest too.

Yet motor-vehicle salespeople are stereotyped as "used-car" con artists and liars out to rob you blind.

I disagree, of course. The real bad stuff is in F&I-lol.

2. Russ Darrow is a car business guy running against Senator Feingold.
Russ Darrow for Senator?

Against our Russ Feingold?

I worked for Russ Darrow for awhile-he'll never get my vote. Many of the dealers are RW.

Like EVS.

3. sorta.
After hearing that my car needed $1600 worth of repairs in order to be drivable (and had broken down on me every couple of weeks for the past 2 months), I put it on ebay. I was out of work at the time, and the money that I made on the car was enough to pay the rent for a couple of months... I know what you're thinking. YES, I DID DISCLOSE what was wrong with the car to all potential buyers. I love people who think they can fix things even though professionals would advise against trying to do so...
I got $1350 for that car.

5. I only made an income by selling cars, trucks, motorcycles
to people. I was paid on commission. A capitalist lackey!
I had a lot of fun doing it too.
