1. You know the GDP is bad when folks start coming to the Lounge looking for sanity.

3. Notice how I've stayed OUT of that cat-fight?
I don't want anyone getting pissed off at me about which democrat I prefer.

Like when I called astrology a load of crapola, and got major flames.

I've unconsciously managed to avoid that dump for a few weeks, save for tonight.

10. Believe it or not
Its a form of Kudzu in GDP! Basically an Obama supporter said to ignore trollish HRC posts and let them sink. The Obama people have been making a point to keep kicking it and kicking it..I think its been going for a few days now...

14. Some then proceed to post LET IT SINK in a thread started by a Hillary supporter...
Which pretty much guarantees that it won't happen.

I'm an Obama supporter but there are really some serious idiots on both sides of this.

11. Report from the GDP front... the "mass ignore list"
Edited on Mon Mar-24-08 06:45 PM by theredpen
Someone did a bit of Googling, and tracked some of the more prolific and militant Hillary supporters to another forum called "Capital Hill." After this guy signed up for that forum, he was able to read about a "plot" to disrupt GDP. Thinking that this was the sort of thing that shrivels up when exposed to direct sunlight, he posted it. Then all hell broke loose.

I think the list of names that were in that thread are now being ignored by a lot of people (I had a couple on ignore already, but didn't add anyone as a result of the list).

Meanwhile, some Obama supporters are advocating a "let it sink" policy in which they will refrain from replying to unwelcome posts so that they "sink" off the front page. For some reason, there are people who think that not responding to posts your find to be time-wasting flame bait is terribly wrong and unfair and they are calling on Skinner to "do something about it." Seriously.

There has never been less primaries-related content in GD:P and it has never been a more fun read, IMO.

supporters of both candidates posting in that forum.

16. Can you imagine if these people were, say, showing up a County Caucuses or blockwalking?
They'd have to call out riot police. Frankly, I think as long at they're busy on GD:P, we're all a little safer.

18. I was just thinking that a lot of them need their meds doubling
It's gone from "point and laugh" at the GD: Pers, to "uhh, these people might have genuine diagnosable problems".

I feel no need or desire to go in there. Nada.
