Gotta hide the cat
So today, the landlord slips a note under our door saying blah blah blah locks changing blah blah blah we've noticed that contrary to the lease provisions, people have pets. These people must make arrangements to get these pets off the premesis, or they will be evicted ./"

We have little cat is who an integral part of our little family. I thought I was going to throw up.

Before anyone says she's a horrible bitch, I called her, and her first reaction is "I don't want to KNOW you have a cat" and she talked about how she could accommodate us. She's simply upset that people are beginning to bring dogs on the property, and they don't bother to pick up after them. One of the tenants told her "why shouldn't I be able to have my boyfriend's dog - everyone here has pets?" The landlord just re-did a bunch of units, and in addition, we're right on top of one another, and a barking dog would be a nightmare. And people are NOT cleaning up after their animals, which makes the lawn look horrible.

And did I mention the rent is about 1/3 of the going rate in the area?

So - here's the question. Little Miss Cat advertises herself to the complex like a cheap hooker in Amsterdam. Sits in the front center window all day long. We need a way to block the world from seeing her. Any suggestions? We have curtains, but she's clearly visible through them.

5. I was going to say stuffed toys

A whole windowsill full of them might work, of course they would have to be glued in place.

4. I dont' know about the laws where you live but where I live once someone is
in an apartment you cannot evict them for having a quiet pet. They are allowed to do what they want in their own home and the landlord has no recourse. Look up the landlord/tenent act where you live.

6. Oooh, tough one
I have a similar situation...said I had one cat, I have 3. Mine also advertise themselves and the neighbors even comment on the "cute little kitties." x(

If you figure something out, let me know!

7. Lots of apartment complexes around here allow cats but not dogs.
Why can't your landlord do something like that?

8. at least the landlords sorta wants to go along
From the first two sentences it sounded so horrible.

After they've said that to everyone you do have to be careful, other tenants will start being crappy and turning each other in I bet. People kinda suck that way sometimes x(
