Incredibly stupid things you did as a youth
I went to a family party and lots of stories were retold about everyone's youth. My favorite idiot youth story is a few young boys gathered Christmas tree lights from the neighborhood. They had several garbage bags full. They planned to sell them at the neighborhood grocerystore to make money. A sibling ratted on them.

I guess I have to share one of mine. I was about 13. My friend and I poured about a 1/4 inch from each of the liquor bottles at each of our houses and then drank it all. We then went to a church youth group overnight. We got extremely sick.

16. Youth not late 20's. Have you ever thought that only GOP men are ....
children until their mid-40's. Yet the poor are killed off at 16 as 'should have know better at their age'

6. Me and two of my friends....(we were maybe 12 or so)
Snuck into the golf course at night.... cut the chain that blocks access to the fenced in pen where they lock up the golf carts for the night and charge them. Took one golf cart each to a hidden corner of the golf course at the corner of a fence hidden by bushes, cut the fence (we had bolt cutters), and quickly crossed the street into an area that's completely hidden, in an industrial buisness complex area where there is a huge construction area of dirt and lots of vacant lot space that's very hidden with some dirt hills and *nobody* around.

Then we had a demolition derby with the golf carts. We had so much fun, we went and got one more each after the ones we had died... I wanted to keep one SOO bad and drive it around my neighborhood every day, but obviously that would've been suicide.

Man that was fun.

Probably not the actual stupidest thing Ive ever done... just what popped in my mind when I read the post... ahh to be a kid again.

8. Drive over 100 mph, drunk, in a crap car
Now some ugly and stupid things:

Refused to sing a duet (Silent Night) in Church because the other singer was an Arab, but I thought she was black. My Mom said, "but honey she ain't a n*****, she's only an Arab"

Called my dyslexic younger brother "dummy" every chance I could.

Shot a robin with a pellet gun

By the time I was 15, the ugly behavior, and my Mother, had disappeared.

19. We all do stupid things
and most of us don't end up raped. The only one responsible for that is the rapist.

Still, I hope to God my kids don't repeat my mistakes. Or at least survive them as I did.

20. Thanks, cally!
But I did put myself in harm's way, acting in foolhardy ways despite my better judgment. Did learn from that experience that I should never ignore my inner voice, which was warning me not to step into that particular car.

Come to think of it, that's one insight I definitely need to pass on to my kids.
