T-minus 18 minutes to final "The Wire" episode
Hope it doesn't suck like the final ep of "Oz" did.

3. outstanding
amazing show IMO just like the whole series. IMO best thing on
TV and this episode was the perfect ending. I love how they resolved
so many story lines yet made it clear that the game goes on as well.
So sad no more Wire but an incredible last show
Scott

7. very true
saw a few coming but Dukie as the new bubs made me
so sad, that scene with him getting money from Prezbo
was painful, was hoping for some miracle for Dukie

4. I loved "Homicide: Life on the Street" but never got into "The Wire"
probably didn't help that I haven't had HBO in ages, but still -- I have heard excellent things about "The Wire"; maybe I'll try to catch it on dvd...

8. Most touching part right at the end-
Bubs getting to sit down to dinner (at the table) with his sister. Particularly affected me because it took me a long time to trust my son again, after his bout with addiction. Too long and I will always feel sad about it.

9. Fitting conclusion to the best show on TV, bar none
I second the comment made upthread that each major character was replaced....I was actually thrilled to see Michael transform into the new Omar (carrying on his "good works").

Looks like Lester is at peace, as is McNulty, somewhat. Sad to see it go, but what an ending!

11. How about Syndnor becoming the new McNulty
Going to Phalen like McNulty did in the first episode.
