I put my finger up to one of the vents in his exercise wheel, and the next thing I knew, his little tongue was poking out to have a taste. Too bizarre! :rofl:

Cute. Years ago my niece's hamster escaped in to my sister and hers apartment. They heard it gnawing in the walls and would see it occasionally. It took over six months before they recaptured it. The little guy never was has tame as before it had a taste of freedom, but remained in his habit-trail for the remainder of his little hamster days.

9. When I was a kid. Late teens actually. I had a hamster that was an escape artist.

A night or so later I woke up with it sitting on my neck. It had actually been scratching at my chin a little bit to wake me up.

I guess he was lucky I've never been the sort to startle easily.

But the point is these little guys really are capable of bonding and trusting you if you treat them right.
