and much like the unstated part of that thread about the people who are "born-again virgins" which is for women because no one minds if guys are "sluts".... I mean, "studs." Men can get bad reputations, but the "damage" from it is nowhere near as permanent or bad as what is perceived for women.

Not saying I agree with it or like it, just that you are absolutely correct about such a deep cultural double standard that most people would not even recognize it exists. Once you do see it, however you cannot ignore it and notice it even more places than you suspected.

I say this only because a lot of guys don't see it (or "don't" see it) because they are not the victims of it, and it's in their benefit to remain ignorant about it. But strangely I have encountered many women who think I am crazy for speaking about things like this. I don't get it at all.
