Pretty pictures from the nano world
I was googling for the video of the first electron ever but found this instead.

Scientists Scan Striking Nanoscale Images

Caption these pictures first, then read the article to find out what they are.

And oh yeah, the story and the video of the electron: Electron rides a wave of light on video.

21. This one reminds me of something I've seen in a certain tv show I've been watching:
Edited on Thu Feb-28-08 11:34 AM by Cannikin

Sapphire
Scott MacLaren, at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, collaborated with Fumiya Watanabe and David Cahill to create this image of a precisely crafted crater on a sapphire substrate.

Head Six: There it is Gaius, it has the answers to all of your questions.
Baltar: That's the eye?
D'Anna (# Three): What is?
Baltar: Oh uh, something the Hybrid said. Uh, sapphire blue, shining light up to a star.

Two caps from the episode "Maelstrom"
