I used to think he was funny. Did I get a stick up my ass recently, or has he gotten less funny? Listening to one of his CDs. Jokes about sticking his "ding dong" in a 5 year-old and whether a 12 year-old has tits yet. Um...that's not funny.

13. I have been following Carlin since Class Clown. I don't think his last special on HBO was very

good. In fact, I turned it off after about 10 minutes. It was really kind of sad. A lot of jokes about death and getting old that just didn't strike me as funny or clever. I guess, since I have been watching him for so long, I have seen some of his better stuff and I have come to expect more from him.

First though, as a matter of full and fair disclosure, let me say up front that I love George Carlin and yes, I am no doubt in a group of people against whom he has ranted at some point in time. I love him nonetheless.

With respect to the bit you just quoted, my take on it is that he also thinks it is stupid to let a kid leave the OGM on an answering machine because - as in this bit - the person calling is obviously NOT a friend of the family, but a pedophile or some other sick fnck who either diealed a wrong number or more likely was random dialing to make a crank phone call. Why let them know that you have a small child in the house?
