Switching channels, came across "Celebrity Rehab"
I'd never seen it.

Jeff Conaway!

1. It's a really sad show.
A weekly advertisement against substance abuse.

2. Yeah, it's really sad
Conaway's a fucking mess. Chyna is just sad.

I sorta like Brigitte Nielsen, though, after seeing this.

3. Brigitte seems relatively stable, as does the girl from "Family Matters."
Conaway is bad off; his enabling girlfriend isn't helping. Thing about Jeff is he fluctuates daily. There are moments of lucidity.

Chyna is very, very sad.

4. It's been discussed here, but you should have...
seen it when Daniel Baldwin was still around. I missed last week when he was tossed (or quit, or whatever) because he was texting Mary. "Sexting" would probably be the word.

Talk about denial, Baldwin was pretty much it. He was smarter and better than the rest of them, and told them all so every chance he got. There were probably many pools for when he'd be thrown out.

Conaway is a completely broken person. Nothing about him works and his girlfriend is dragging him further down. He fascinates me because he has one thing in common with most of the addicts I've known-- he seems to have no idea what to do when he sobers up. Why sober up when there's nothing there?

5. Would that be the Jeff Conaway from Taxi?
I saw the show once but did not recognize any of them except Bridget. That show is hard to watch, very sad.

6. Yep!
I had such a crush on him back in the day. He's a wreck now. So sad.

7. And to think, he looks way better
than the day he checked in. The first day of the show, he looked like a cadaver. He looks almost healthy now and he can actually speak and sit up, which is a far cry from day-one.

I'm not sure how long ago the show was taped. I know Bridgette was on Chelsea Lately weeks ago talking about being sober for months. Then, I recently saw Jeff on TV at some event. He had on a back brace and looked good. Although, he still had his girlfriend.

The heart breaker to me was the conversation the singer with the mohawk had with his little boy. He told his son he was quitting smoking and the elation in the boy's voice when he said, "Really!!! You're not going to do bad things anymore?" was a total tear-jerker.

8. His Kenickie days are long past.
The years of drug abuse have really taken their toll.
