Happy Valentines Day Everyone...

I hope everyone here knows that they may not mean the world to everyone, but they may well mean the world to someone...

Today has been a long day for me...

I got to spend the evening at Chucky Cheese's with my son...

I got a valentine from someone at work, a "friendly" one, this person then proceeded to tell me off about something totally irrational. So I went to my office and tore up their valentine. :D childish of me? mebbe, did it feel good FUCKIN' A! (this person is like that give a warm fuzzy and thousand prickly pears back)

Someone at work was making these thread tied bracelets for everyone. She made one for me too. For some reason that felt good.

So I know my son means the world to me, and I think I do to him too, and I know that people here care about me, and I have friends who I've talked to today. Even though Valentines day has not always seemed important, this year, the absence of relationship and all was felt and it is nice to know that there are lots of ways to fill a void that no one can fill for me.

I thank all of you DU 'ers who make the lounge especially fun. I'm still so grateful for the hearts :loveya: and I just hope everyone can find some joy in something today. I will.

My son found a new love, so he bought her chocolates & flowers, instead of me this year. :(

He's so cute though and so is she! :P His first *official* girlfriend! *sigh*

BUT he and I shared the cost of a pizza and that was just fine! :D

I'm used to spending holidays alone as a single parent! No SO, at least for the last few years anyway.

I sent a group e-mail "valentine" to all my brothers and sisters and sons today though.

I hope they liked it! :)

My youngest son rolled his eyes when he read it but I saw the hint of a smile when he was finished! ;)

I'm glad you had so many people thinking about you! That's awesome, even if one did lose his cool.
