I cannot believe what good time I made between 2:30 and 5:00 in SoCal traffic.

:wow:

3. Arcadia? what would you want to go there for?
(And that is fantabulous time for that trip - I completely do not believe you...)

7. I went to pick up a desk for my daughter's room.
:D

I seriously made the most excellent time on the round trip.

I think part of the reason is that everyone was heading north on the 57 when I was heading south.

4. That's practically booty call speeds.
Why are you on the computer now? You should be getting lucky after a drive like that!

8. This round trip should have taken at least 3 and a half hours in SoCal rush time
and somehow it did not.

11. My ex-wife lived in Ohio....
On our way back to Cape Cod we entered Connecticut. No sooner had we hit the state than a dude comes flying off an on ramp at about 95MPH. I said to my wife, "Welcome to New England." Speed limits are just a suggestion here.

You guys have some major traffic. I don't know how you do it. I'd be road rage example A. You people really ARE layed back. :)

13. Oh believe me, there is plenty of road rage that happens here.
And the only time I have ever seen southern Californians laid back is when they are on the beach.

The traffic thing to people who live here is kind of like the below zero thing in Minnesota. Ya just have to accept it, or be miserable all the time.

10. Q. How did you get everyone else off I-5
I've done the same from SD to LA on some exceptionally good nights (leave SD at 7pm, in LA by 9pm).

The planets must be aligned just right - someone should try using astrology to forecast traffic. Makes as much sense as anything else

12. Funny thing - I took the 5 going up
but took the 210 to the 57 on the way back (and only about 4 miles on the 5).

I should have taken the 57 to the 210 on the way up also.
