2. When I saw Starkey with the Who, Moon lived again.
He was dead-on, as far as this non-drummer can tell. Much better than any Kenny Jones material I've heard.

3. They chose Jones for two reasons...
...first, he came from the same background as the other members. Second, it was a deliberate attempt to soldier on with a drummer who was nothing like Keith Moon.

It was a failed experiment at best. Daltrey, in particular, really hated Jones' guts.

Choosing Starkey was definitely the smarter move.
