7. Believe it or not, we have Mardi Gras out here

it's a block party in Chinatown. If the weather holds (rather a big "if" these days), I might even go.

At least we have it on Mardi Gras. Ft. Wayne, Ind. has theirs in June, much to the derision of the NOLA blogerati.

Yep. These guys obviously know how to party. I think the little girls up front are having fun, though.

They had the "Moscow Mardi Gras" when I lived in Moscow Idaho. This one occurred on a Saturday as well, during Lent. Savages. You had to buy beads.
