3. I love Mexican Coke!
I find them in the Hispanic Food section of one of my local markets on occasion.

The difference in taste is amazing.

4. I got mine at a Mexican bodega.
I suppose I could have Mexican coke fairly often, since I live in SoCal, but I like it as an occasional treat.

7. Like regular US coke, only crisper.
:9

It is hard to explain. But it is better than the Coke with HFCS in it.

9. It tastes like Cokes used to taste! It actually haz Flavah!
You can actually detect hints of cinnamon and vanilla instead of just over powering syrupy taste.

34. They taste like the Cokes of your youth
Not sickeningly sweet, but pleasantly spicy.

They sell these in grocery stores all over in New Mexico. I used to keep a couple of bottles on hand for special occasions. They're head-and-tails above regular U.S. Cokes.

6. Was it served at about 70 degrees?
It has always been my experience that foreign pop is never cold enough. And I am too paranoid to use ice cubes, so feh. :hi: :toast:

That's the only difference as far as I know. :)

16. FYI, Jones has a cola that's made without HFCS
They had to invent it to get the Qwest Field vendor contract. It's pretty good, plus, all the cans have a picture of Lofa Tatupu on them, so you get to sip soda from his decapitated skull.

28. Jones Cola's not that good
But their green apple soda is the shit! I thought their root beer and cream soda were pretty well done also, though I'm not a big cream soda fan.

As for Mexi-Coke, it's great, but unfortunately pricey. If you live in a metropolitan area with a large Jewish population, look for "Kosher Coke" around Passover time. Unfortunately, it's in plastic bottles like all Coke products in the US, but at least it is sweetened with cane sugar, and not high fructose corn poison. Tragically, it's only made in limited quantities, and as I said, distributed in areas with a significant Jewish population. Which lets out my one synagogue town, apparently. :(

I've got some Mexican grocery stores around here.

I don't need to drink Coke anyway, but a real coke made with real sugar might be a treat for once in a while :9

I am convinced the whole new coke-old coke fiasco was a fabrication to distract people from noticing the switch to HFCS from cane sugar.

30. I have one once a week.
Taste just like the old Coke.

Glass bottles are the best.

Anyone remember in the old days the bottles had a deposit on them.

That was easy an way for a kid to pick a little pocket money, just look for soft drink bottles.

31. Essentially, all beverege contatiners in CA have deposit
Only you do not take the bottles back to the store to get the money back. Once a month I take our bottles and cans to the recycling center to get my money back.
