Looking for Roaring Twenties music.
What music from the twenties would interest today's generation?

5. Do you just want '20s music or actual recordings from the decade?
If it's the latter, "Nipper's Greatest Hits of the '20s" is a compilation that contains some older songs they might have heard. "Varsity Drag," "My Man" by Fannie Brice, "Makin' Whoopee," "I Wanna Be Loved By You" by Helen Kane (who was a flapper).
Here's the Amazon link:

You can also listen to samples on that page.

9. Jazz
It was called "The Jazz Age" after all. Off hand, I can't think of which Jazz numbers date from then, but I'm sure Google knows.

10. Here's an off the wall one

Ukulele Ike.

His real name is Cliff Edwards, and to "modern day" folks he is better known as the voice of Jiminy Cricket. In the 20's, however, he was quite the star.

He has a great record (recently released on CD) entitled "I'm a Bear In A Lady's Boudoir" that is available as an import (I know CD Universe stocks it, as does Amazon).

If you have ever heard the song (or "Hard Hearted Hannah", another one he is associated with) with a "hot" ukulele on it then you've probably heard Ike!!
