plus, I'm trying out that Bare Minerals make up. A bit expensive (luckily I had a gift certificate), but I love it! So, here I am with BB Maine-ah tonight.

Show us your mug! OR your cats....I don't care, just post a pic!

cute baby too! how old?

---btw you look beautiful. wish I had your lips.

I heard about this mineral stuff over the Christmas holidays via tv so I wondered about it...and wondered if it was available in a place you can try it out. Where did you find it? It would be worth a trip to mall-hell to try it. I never used to wear make-up but now that I'm older, my skin color is weird - big dark circles under my eyes and pink spots on my cheeks... not to mention wrinkles... but also because a doc prescribed some medicine for me and as a result I have permanent spots on the upper part of my chest. If I wear something that's not up to my neck, people ask me...what happened to you?

okay, so long question.

14. she's 14 months
I used to get oh so teased about my lips when I was younger. I love them now.

I'm in a rather isolated area, no malls for about 100 miles or so. I got it at a little shop on Main st. in town called Nordstrum skin care. You can get it way cheaper at QVC's website. The starter pack is normally 60 bucks, but they have it for 40. I paid full price, but only 17 bucks out of my own pocket because of a gift certificate. QVC carries the whole line, and at some good discounted prices. It's so cool, it really does what they say it will.

I haven't used it yet.

Even at CostCo, the kit cost $40.00!

20. heh, I wouldn't put it on until I watched the video too!
they put it on me at the shop, and the one thing they did tell me is to give it a few minutes after putting it on, because it might look a little dry at the start (I also have wicked dry skin), but once it warms up to your skin it looks different. I'm gonna have to save up for the make up line. :)

33. Your hair looks tres chic.
I've heard a lot about Bare Minerals but haven't used it. Can you tell me about it?
Is it a powder you apply with a brush? Do you use moisturizer underneath it? (I'm at the age where I always apply a moisturizer underneath my foundation.)
Also, is it just foundation, or does it include blush, shadow, liner, lipcolor, mascara?
Did someone do a make over for you at the shop so you knew how to use it properly?

Sorry for the dumb questions but I have to get some make up within the next couple of weeks and am wondering whether I should go for BM or my usual Estee Lauder.

36. the starter kit
has 4 different powders. Basically, two bases to get the right tone (there are a few different kits for different skin tones, I have the light)then there is a powder called warmth, and then the last one is called radience. To start you use a product called rev-er upper before you apply any of the powder which is designed to rejuvenate and smooth out the surface of your skin so pores seem invisible, then you apply the base, color and the radience. It also comes with 3 brushes and an instructional video.

you should check out their website, www.bareescentuals.com

I used to use clinique, but I don't think I'l bother with that anymore. I used my own eye shadow, and a little bit of my own blush on the apples of my cheeks. The best thing that stuff did for me was cover up the dark circles under my eyes (BB Maine-ah does not like to sleep, lol) and evened out my skin tone, and gave me some color (I usually look like the walking dead, lol)

50. Dude! Is that a "Half Full" t-shirt from Life Is Good?
My favorite! I put it on my Christmas list only because I knew it would bug Mr. MG, an avowed pessimist. (For YEARS I've tried to alter his perception--as long as I've known him, I've regularly asked "Glass half...?" and he always answers "Missing.") He refused to get the shirt for me, BTW, so I harassed him till he bought it for my birthday--Jan. 2, a great way to get stuff I didn't get for Christmas.

And you look great in your loungewear! :hi:

68. Cute, both of you!
I use mineral makeup, but Arbonne. The company is entirely vegan, so I buy lots of stuff from 'em. Technically I'm a consultant, but I never sell any. I just get the consultant's discount. I have wicked oily skin, and the mineral powders work really well on it. A hint: if you have dry skin, be sure to moisturize before applying minerals, or it will look dry. But it's way better than oily liquid stuff!!

And here's the beagle asleep in her crate:
