Green olives are delicious.
Got a pizza with green peppers, jalepenos, banana peppers, and black and green olives. I had forgotten how much green olives brought to the symphony of flavors.

16. you did
and me too
and try this:

Greek Pasta recipe

Pasta
1 large or two medium zucchini
olive oil
1 or 2 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
1/2 cup white wine
1 15-oz can chicken broth
1 heaping tablespoon cornstarch
4 to 8 oz of feta cheese, crumbled or diced
pinch of thyme
pinch of marjoram
kalamata olives

Cook up a pot of pasta - we like rotini for this.
Meanwhile slice and dice a zucchini squash and saute in olive oil with a crushed clove of garlic or two. After a couple of minutes, toss in a half cup of white wine, then add almost a whole can of chicken broth, saving about a half cup in the can. Stir a heaping tablespoon of cornstarch into the reserved broth. Simmer the zucchini/broth mixture for 25-30 minutes, then stir in 4 to 8 oz. of crumbled or diced feta cheese. Add the cornstarch-broth mix and stir gently on medium heat until everything thickens. Turn off the heat and add a pinch each of thyme and marjoram, and as many kalamata olives as you like. Serve over the pasta.

My family loves pasta but sometimes I get tired of tomato sauce. This is our favorite alternative.

19. I have a man who cooks, does my laundry,
mops, cleans toilets, washes dishes, and does all the grocery shopping. He is also an expert carpenter, an excellent mechanic and he's real nice to look at, too. :)

I'm spoiled rotten. :P

9. A restaurant up the street uses them to make the BEST rice in the world...
She makes a mushroom dish called "arrozhungar"; the mushrooms are awesome
but the rice underneath is just as good.

She seasons it delicately with something (so subtle I can't ID it,
and she's not telling) and then throws in a few capers and sliced
green olives. I'm not a big rice -or- green olive fan, but I can't
get enough of that stuff!:9

15. YUM...
We're making pizza tonight... I have the sun-dried tomatoes, red onion & peppers, and basil all prepped and ready to go. I'm running to the store to pick up some feta, provolone, pesto and... now, a jar of green olives!

:hi:

20. Love every kind of olive there is.
My favorites are the very large green ones with the pits still intact. The olive bar at Wild Oats really rocks, too!

But...but...me no likey on pizza. Hmmm.

Enjoy yours, tho! :hi:
