Just bought Radiohead's "In Rainbows." It's terrific. I was going to
buy it when they offered it on their site, but forgot to do it.

Here's the article on the release.

Lead singer Thom Yorke told Time just before Radiohead began recording songs for 'In Rainbows' that: "I like the people at our record company, but the time is at hand when you have to ask why anyone needs one... It probably would give us some perverse pleasure to say 'fuck you' to this decaying business model." The group chose not to re-sign its contract with EMI, and its latest album is being praised by many as its finest work yet.

It's on iTunes, and I guess on other online outlets. Not sure about brick and mortar establishments. It's well worth the money.

2. I paid $9.99 at iTunes.
Definitely music for those who like to walk "through the garden."

7. This CD and Wilco's "Sky Blue Sky" are my favorites at this time.
Give it a deep listen, headphones and no interruptions.

11. It's really well done.
From the artist directly to us is a more natural way of promoting the music. The record execs can spend more time selling cocaine and less time fucking the artist out of their money.

8. It's very good, and a brilliant move by them
They say Radiohead has averaged about $2-$3 per unit, which is a lot more than most musicians make through a label.

9. The computer based studio has cut the start up costs of recording. You
will see it more and more if Radiohead's strategy pans out.

Janis Ian was a leader in this respect. She totally embraced the internet.
