How come this isn't a "frivolous lawsuit" the RW's always whining about?
http://www.thesmokinggun.com/doc_o_day/doc_o_day.html

In the below federal complaint, Terri Carlin, a 47-year-old Knoxville bank employee, contends that Jackson's exposure and other "sexually explicit conduct" during halftime festivities caused viewers to "suffer outrage, anger, embarrassment and serious injury." Details of those supposed injuries were not further described in the complaint filed by attorney Wayne A. Ritchie II. Along with Jackson, Carlin has named as defendants Justin Timberlake, CBS, MTV, and Viacom. Carlin's complaint seeks compensatory and punitive damages, though an exact dollar figure is not specified. But it seems billions would be in order since Carlin notes that punitive damages should not exceed the gross revenues of all defendants for the past three years. (8 pages)

So where's the outrage? I'd guess it's that Ms. Carlin probably has "good American Family Values;" so why doesn't she get with the GOP Personal Responsibility Program © and just get over it?

2. I wasn't bothered by the event
But about 20% of those who watched were young kids. That is a violation of FCC rules which leaves them open for suit.

6. How Does It Open Them For Suits?
What economic harm was done to anyone who saw it? Could i sue because it wasted my time? I wasn't bothered either, but the whole halftime show was just so awful and tedious, that they wasted a half hour of my time. So, could i sue, because wasting my time does not serve the public interest? (Also an FCC reg.)

7. Yes. All the children I know were traumatized.
By Horse-Farting, Beer-Guzzling, Abuse-by-Spouse, Erectile-Dysfunction, Priapism-Warning advertisements. The breast of Ms. Jackson was sort of a let-down. I mean, really, how tame. (sarcasm)

5. Anyone Can File A Lawsuit About Anything
I just wonder who his employer is and if the "bank employee" has the resources to carry it through without "outside" help if and until the Banking regulations change?

8. ROFLMAO
And these are the people who hate "frivolous" lawsuits.

What a bunch of whiners. But it is to be expected.
