Roasted Wasabi Peas: Anybody ever make them? Tips on how to?
I live a REALLY long way from any place that sells them. Most who enjoy them know of their addicting tendency. Hmmmm Wasabi Peas :P

Anyway, has anyone MADE them? Would like some tips before I get desperate and start experimenting with flaming peas in the middle of Christmas cooking baking. (although, wasabi peas as ornaments on tree shaped cookies might be interesting....)

1. If you don't get a response here, try
the Cooking and Baking group, best group on DU, imho. :hi:

2. I'm addicted to the things, but have never heard of a recipe to make them
and I would imagine it would be fairly time-consuming, what with having to dry them out and getting the seasoning on there. Good luck finding one, though

4. Thanks
Will go on hunt on the internets for dried whole peas. Was hoping to learn to make them with fresh peas as I can grow those come spring.

Hey, have you every used the wasabi powder in mashed potatoes? My sis did at Thanksgiving and my daughter said they were really interesting.

I've been fighting a bug and the only thing that has made me feel any better is wasabi peas. Horseradish is good for us, and mustards are good for congestion, so I will live on the stuff until the bug gives up.
