2. I found an excellent one recently.

It had a rather ironic name though... it was called Terrible. :) A bit of a misnomer, IMO, because it was fantastic. Had all the oomph of your typical belgian, but without the bitterness. And it had a really pleasant caramel aftertaste.

The only actual beer I've seen from Belgium locally is the fruit flavored stuff that comes in what looks like a mini champagne bottle.

Had some decent Belgian style ales though

The fruit stuff is great, the lambic beers are a bit too sour for my taste, and then there are the trappist beers and all sorts of other goodies.

Over here in the UK, I tend to come across the stuff at beer festivals but you can also get a few thhings like Leffe in quite a few bars.

Lived in Belgium for 5 years. Most popular beer = Stella Artois.
