So what's worse? The checkout clerk who....
So what's worse? The checkout clerk who takes five minutes trying to figure out whether or not the store honors the customer's coupon for $0.50 off, or...

The customer who stands in line waiting for five minutes just so he or she can get the measley $0.50 off from the coupon?

I really don't know. All I know was that I was behind both at Target during my break.

do the arrogant, ignorant, stingy, sorry-ass piece of shit customer's bidding no matter how stupid a waste of time it is.

I hate everyone and everything I meet when shopping. Especially now. The entire world sucks in misery getting ready for the season of brotherhood and glad tidings.

5. You know what's worse?
The customer in question paid with a check. Seriously, who uses a check anymore other than to pay your monthly bills or make super large purchases?

6. The checkout clerk. Or rather, management for not informing the employee about coupons.
Or maybe it's the fault of the company putting out the coupon. All I know is, it's not the customer.

As for paying by cheque as you also mentioned, there should be a special slow line for anyone who wants to pay that way or with a credit card. Leave the fast lines for people who pay with cash or debit.

There should also be a separate till in convenience stores for people who want to buy lottery tickets. I hate having to wait in line behind them with my legitimate purchase on Wednesday or Saturday evenings, while the ticket buyers putter around with their gambling.

10. That and cigarette purchases
I'm sorry, but I really don't feel like wasting extra time in line just so Mr. or Ms. Ironlung ahead of me asks for the cigarettes, which requires the clerk then to go behind the counter and in that big tall shelve and reach up to find the right brand, pull it down, then the person says, "Oh, I wanted the slims", so they have to repeat, all so that some person can poison their lungs.

9. The whole bullshit coupon system.
Edited on Wed Nov-28-07 02:27 PM by Kutjara
Just reduce the fucking price of the product and stop making people jump through hoops with crappy bits of paper so they can save a nickel on the price of the latest French Bread Pizza-style Waffleburger.

My mailbox is crammed full of coupon envelopes, books, and flyers every day, to the point I can't find my real mail (on the rare occasions when I get any). The trashcan in my building's mailroom overflows with this junk every day. Great use of precious paper there! Real concern about the environment from our major retailers.

Coupons are a waste of paper, a waste of space, and a waste of time.

Don't even get me started on "mail-in rebates." I mean, WTF? WTF!?!???!

11. People. It's always them, you know?
If you didn't have to be somewhere in 10 minutes, I say let it go.

Now, if your issue was with clocks, I'd back you 100%. Those things need to be ranted about. Hell, time in general.
