Help! I am getting a Trojan warning
Edited on Sun Nov-25-07 05:39 PM by laylah
(X posted from Computer group)This has never happened before. I closed everything down and ran Spybot after downloading new updates. Cleaned the problems, supposedly, but I am still getting the warning. Does anyone know what I should do next? Yikes!

Thanks in advance.

Jenn

Edited to add the warning states I am probably infected "...with the latest version of Trojan. Zlob-X.a

1. Have you run your antivirus?

3. Yes. Did the Spybot thing, thought
all was cleaned up but I am still getting the warning every couple of minutes. I am being urged to download some IE antivirus program, which I do not want.

Thanks, KW, for responding. Or would that be, Your Highness?

4. Snot! I DID honey
but it isn't working. I e-mailed Dad but he must be busy. I have never had this happen before and I am kinda freaking out. I do NOT want to lose access to my 'puter! It is the only thing that keeps me sane! Well, being able to come here, that is, and in order to do that, I need my 'puter!

Would you try to call your dad and ask him to e-mail me or at least tell you what I should do? Please? huh? huh? huh?

14. Here, run this
http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/

it's a free virus scanner and remover. It should help you out now. Your antivirus program should be able to remove it. If you don't have antivirus software, get some today. Avast, Anti-Vir, and AVG are decent free ones.
