I watched this the other night and I had forgotten how much this film affected me, especially this scene. Henry Fonda never acted better:

9. That is one story that can break my heart nearly every time.

The cruelest thing ever that ever visited that family was hope.

I saw it as a stage play about a year or so ago too.
