First SCROOGE post of the season: forced charity events...
HR decided that the employees will participate in some charity event after the December company meeting.

I've nothing against charity events, but I like to choose them for myself. I'm not ringing a bell for the Salvation Army, for instance. I also prefer a non-religious outreach.

What would you do?

1. What's the charity event.
Sounds like what United Way does with to employers, making their employees donate.

2. TBA but
a large church was mentioned. Maybe I'm getting worked up too soon, but I just don't think it's appropriate.
