The hate that is expressed toward New England teams on DU is like the hate Republicans express toward liberals. In other words, it's irrational and tells more about the person spewing hate than the object of that hate. It's very sad.

Most would see it as a good-natured ribbing. Harmless trash-talk at the very worst. In fact, it's more of a positive Colts booster than a Patriots slam.

I'm a sports fan, OK? That's what we do. Particularly when there is an abundance of trash-talking New Englanders in the Lounge (see the various "it's good to be a sports fan in Boston these days" threads/posts).

I never said I hate anybody. All I did was a little ribbing to remind some people that there IS another undefeated team in the NFL. There IS another great quarterback besides Brady. Etc.

It's going to be THE game of the season! I can't wait.
