in order to appreciate the joy that is work.

28. Fantastic website
Making me laugh out loud at work.

Here's my favorite for office humor (although it's not dedicated to office humor, there's enough in the archives to count)
www.toothpastefordinner.com

Depending on what you have to do, and the company you'll be keeping, it could be fun...:-)

With your knowledge, they are lucky to have you, and you could learn a lot...:hi:

p.s. My first job was Cinderella at an amusement park...:silly:

15. Those of us who are interested in politics can always benefit
by knowing more about the law. At least half of the politicians are lawyers...

And you never know when you'll need one, so they're good friends to have...;)

22. That was definitely one of the least popular jobs there, LOL,
not at all glamorous, standing out in the hot sun wearing a long dress! It was very difficult to even take a bathroom break, since people would stop you, wanting to take your pic with their kids... *sigh* But at least I wasn't "Mary Had a Little Lamb," who had to walk all around the park, also in costume, trailed by a sheep...

After a couple of summers, I graduated to driving the train through "the jungle," a much better job... So now you know why your job doesn't sound all that bad to me...:hi:

My cousin knows a Mickey - it's good for free admission to the park at least.

23. Actually, it was The Great Escape in Lake George, NY.
It was previously Storytown USA, which explains the storybook characters...:-)

I've been to Epcot, but never to Disney World, yet. Since I spent six summers working at my park, I love amusement parks, big or small. And is it the Mickey who your cousin knows? If so, as an amusement park groupie, I'm very impressed!:D

33. Hey Ava, you should find out if they do video depositions
A lot of law firms are doing those sort of things now a days. With your experience you might be able to work into that position before to long.

Good luck in the mean time.

I've managed to avoid office work so far, although I did apply for a computer job somewhere between data entry and programming... hard to describe. Didn't get it though.

I think I kinda impressed them with my 95 WPM typing test though. :P

21. The boss

He's every employee's worst nightmare. He wasn't born mean and unscrupulous, he worked hard at it. And succeeded. As for stupidity, well, some things are inborn.

His top priorities are the bottom line and looking good in front of his subordinates and superiors (not necessarily in that order). Of absolutely no concern to him is the professional or personal well-being of his employees. The Boss is technologically challenged but he stays current on all the latest business trends, even though he rarely understands them.

Life became so much nicer when I could work from home and occasionally travel to see customers.

My rec: bring better coffee with you. It can be currency sometimes.
