Right now I'm drinking Diet Coke with LIME...
...can't say if I like it or dislike it.

I really like Diet Coke with lemon and/or cherry. Had the vanilla stuff.

Anybody else had a swig yet?

1. I've not seen it-- widely distributed now?
I personally hate the DC with lemon/cherry/vanilla.... but lime sounds interesting, if it is subtle.

3. I'm in Denver, and I've just seen it this week...
...finally bought some. It's ok, but it's not like it adds much to it. Might be good for a change every now and then.

7. I would not use the word subtle when describing a soft drink product.

2. Not yet. Wondering whether to try it, because D/C w/ Lemon is
DISGUSTING. It tastes like lemon-scented dish soap. :scared:

I like D/C Vanilla and D/C Cherry.

4. They have TWO versions of Diet Coke with Lemon--I liked the
first version ok, which is strange because when you're at a restaurant and they put lemon in your soda, I don't like it. Then they changed the formula over the summer, and I really like the new version.

5. I tried both.
Didn't like either. But I love adding my own lemon to a D/C. Different tastes, I suppose.

I often wonder what makes cat food taste good to a cat....

6. Did you know that cats don't have a taste bud for sugar???
That's why when they sniff what you're eating, they'll never take a bite of that candy bar.

Dogs will, though, but I'm not sure if they have the taste for sugar, or if it's because they'll eat anything!!!

10. Tried it yesterday....
Probably won't buy it again -- it's okay, but nothing I would get too excited about. I don't much like the lemon or vanilla flavors either.

But, I'm a big fan of cherry flavored diet coke. That is some good stuff!

11. Diet cherry coke can be hard to find--it was off the shelves for
a while here in Denver! I was going to write a letter complaining, but by the time I got around to it, the stuff was back!

12. It can be hard to find in cans but..
we can always find it in 2L bottles. I don't like buying those -- they go flat too fast and I take cans to work. We're a Pepsi campus. Blech!

13. It's NEVER in 2liter bottles here--only cans--I prefer bottles for a
weekend of a caffeine high!

14. THE LEMON DIET COKE TASTES LIKE FURNITURE POLISH IMO!
Although I sometimes squeeze fresh lemon in the straight Diet Coke.

I wish I would just stop drinking that shit altogether...I'm really finding I'm kinda hooked in it :o(!

16. I think the nutrasweet in the diet versions is really addictive....
I drink mostly water, nowadays... but when I spring for a DC, I find I crave it for the next week.

18. I had the same response
I didn't like it or dislike it. Somehow it was a less vile version of Lemon Diet Coke. Are we gonna start having as many versions of Coke and Pepsi as we have of vodka now?

BTW, when I still lived in Philadelphia--this was at the height of the coffee craze--Pepsi test-marketed a coffe-Pepsi hybrid called Pepsi Kona. Unlike everyone else, I liked it a lot. It never got beyond test marketing, dammit.
