The moon didn't seem as bright

it's already cold

not yet midnight

How does one know

sometimes

when it's time to go?

Alone

and old

It's time

Even the fool knows

The moon didn't help this time

...didn't even seem to shine

There are so many things we think we know

So many things we hope we'll see

But toward the end

often

it's a pitiful plea

And the broken heart wins out

and the pain is just a shout

and the tears can't stop

Yes, it's time to go.
