A roster stacked with all-stars; Messier, Jagr, Nedved, Leech, Kovalev, Holik, etc... and they just lost a home & home series to the terminally average Buffalo Sabres. Good god, they are brutal!

Meanwhile, my Kings, with 4,212,983 man games lost to injury this year, are still gutting it out and are in the thick of a playoff race!

The Sabres will most likely not make the playoffs but I love that they beat the most over-paid/over-rated team in sport! The Kings seem to be holding it together, they're getting ready to face-off against the Oilers right now.

6. yeah, I'm back after another self-imposed hiatus!

I almost made the LA gathering in Hermosa (I could have made it by biking up the strand!), but I had plans... nice to be back!

The East is looking pretty cut-and-dried. I'd like to see Atlanta make a run at the Islanders for the final spot, I don't think they can catch Tampa.

I hope my Kings can make it in the west. If not, I just hope Calgary and Nashville make it and Dallas doesn't.

Gonna miss the game tonight, dinner in WeHo at Jones!

It was a miracle we found a sucker team (the Caps) to take all of Jagr's contract + attitude...they were able to dump him on the Rangers last week and get Anson Carter in return, but they also have to eat about $20 million of Jagr's contract.

...maybe next year...well, maybe not...but I'm still hoping

Well here comes a Sabre fan!! What a home and home for the Sabres winning both games 3 - 1. With those victories they jump past the Rangers into 9th place in the Eastern Conference!

I can understand how you would feel. With the Sabres decline in recent years I lost complete interest. With the new ownership I regained some interest and have followed Buffalo pretty much this year. I am hoping for a playoff birth, but I will atleast take them being in the hunt come mid-march.
