5. Did you know a recent "Enterprise" EP referenced "Wrath of Khan?"
In an "what if" episode where the Xindi had deployed the weapon and took out Earth, the remnant of Star Fleet was hiding on the "fifth planet of the Setti Alpha system."

All I could hear at the point was Khan exclaiming to Chechov: "THEEES ESS SETTI ALPHA FIVE!"

24. in a way, I wish they had never done that movie...
ever since TWOK, seems that the powers that be decided that all Trek movies must have a "villain" and be some kind of James Bond series...

that said, TWOK is still one of the best trek flicks, that's surely the main reason for the villain fixation

It was to be called "The Vengeance of Khan" - but was changed because "Revenge of the Jedi" (renamed "Return of the Jedi") was set to release about the same time.

113. Yes, Star Trek II was indeed to be called "The Undiscovered Country"
But the name was changed without Bennet's approval or input; so he finally had the chance to use the name in the sixth movie.

He wanted Undiscovered Country for the second movie becuase it dealt with aging and death.

The answer is two times:

one for 5 mins (stopped at around 1:55 left)and another for 20 mins (stopped at around 5 secs left)

Easier question:

what VOY episode to the crew make it home in?

The original enterprise was Constituion class, and the D was Galaxy class, but it seems that constellation was the designation of some other class of starship - maybe a smaller ship? Or perhaps the Excelsior?

Edited on Sat Jan-31-04 08:31 PM by Rabrrrrrr
and later? Did they get rid of the rank entirely?

I alwys kind of missed having Commodores. No real reason, I just like the name of that rank. Commodore - it just sounds nice.

After TOS, everyone higher than captain is an Admiral, or the President.

133. Oh, no, there were some good ones
The Starfleet Admiral in "Final Duty" was great.

That one that Picard didn't like so much was actually a pretty good Admiral.

But, yeah, there was a sense in TNG (and likely the others) that Admirals and above were just bureaucratic bozos.

I remember every now and again, the one show I'd get to see each year of DS9 after the second, it was always war war war war war.

I always thought it was a Klingon civil war. Was there one of those, too? And a war with the Cardassians?

And where the hell do the Dominion figure in all this? Was that Voyager??

That's one thing I became annoyed with about Star Trek under Berman. It was all about war. Gotta keep showing the Borg, gotta have battles, gotta have cardassian problems in TNG, etc. etc. etc.

The main bridge is on the ship.

Look, I'm giving you a freebie - the answer to the question is NOT a DS9 episode. That's all I'm trying to say here.

The episode after Best of Both Worlds Pt. 2

Picard goes back to France, Worf has his parents on board the Enterprise. EXCELLENT episode.

And the first one that Rene showed up in (we saw Rene later playing the younger Picard in "Rascals", though if memor serves, we never actually see Rene the character again).

As to your Voyager question: it could be. I'm taking my information from the ST:TNG Season III DVD commentaries. Though that set should have been after Voyager was done, since the DVDs were done in 2002.

188. I think it was the most *human* episode
No tech speak, no babble, no enemies, no conflict except all internal and personal. Unless one considers Robert an adversary, which he kind of is, but he doesn't have photons. Though he is wound up so tight, I bet that he hasn't farted in 50 years, so in that sense, he would be a WMD.

and heal, recover from their injuries, etc, before moving on to the next adventure

192. And to see Picard break down, and through that loss of control,
come to terms with his brother, and his experience as a Borg.

incredible line when his brother says, "So, my brother IS human after all" and says it in such a forgiving, compassionate way.

What a healing moment it is.

172. there were a few in voyager werent there?
Edited on Sat Jan-31-04 09:10 PM by LastKnight
the one were the doctor wakes up in an alien historical institute after being rebooted... solves thier race problem then rides off into the sunset on a shuttle. bridge never shown, engineering and the capt's ready room was reproduced via holograms, but never the bridge

and thier was a few where they were kicked off thier ship by seska once and they were marrooned on a planet... i dont believe the bridge was ever shown there... when the episode concluded i think it just showed voyager landing and then the doctor's voice over a com link.

i donno im probably wrong but id just thought id take a guess.

160. Nope, you're wrong! It was 2063
Edited on Sat Jan-31-04 08:59 PM by Rabrrrrrr
From the offical star trek site:

On Earth, over three centuries earlier, a somber Lily Sloane accompanies a stumbling, drunk Zefram Cochrane out of a bar after a night of revelry. Then, Lily notices a fast moving light. She hardly has time to ask what the object is, when the Borg vessel attacks. Back aboard the Enterprise, Picard demands that Data tell him the exact date and location the Borg ship is attacking. The location: central Montana. The date: April 4, 2063 — the day before First Contact.
