Go back in time..100 years.. Take only 1 suitcase & a hand cart with you
Rules:

Your memory of today's life would go with you
No taking people or pets
You will be going back permanently (for your whole life... at your current age)
Remember the limitations of the time.. (no cell phone towers, no internet, etc.)

You CAN take something back to change the future, but whatever it is, it's a finite thing..once used up, it's gone (a la medicine, battery powered stuff etc)

I'm not quite sure what I would take.. I'm still thinking on it :)

3. Back to the Future
That's sort of what I thought of..

Then I would take the "recipe" for making nylon and invent panty hose.

9. I would take a history book and show everybody I could how bad WWI effected the rest of the century
Hopefully that would be enough. If only I could convey to those people that they were about to fight the *dumbest* war in history that would only spark an even more horrifying war 20 years later, that would be worth it to me.

11. Gold, antibiotics, some books, some letters and my address book
Edited on Mon Oct-15-07 07:44 PM by UncleSepp
Specifically, money to last a while, books on child psychology, the treatment of childhood infectious diseases, and pediatric orthopedics, two biographies, one diary, four old letters and my address book from 1995. If there was still room, I'd bring some current currency, a laptop computer, a 220v adapter, and some balloons.

On edit: A block of C4, some detonators, a very large sack and a plastic spoon. Just as a backup plan.
