Took the kitties to the vet today (now with pics!)
Edited on Sat Oct-13-07 04:28 PM by LeftyMom
The kittens are about 110% healthy, no worms or anything. The vet thinks they're 5 or 6 weeks.

Trin (my bitchy older cat) got a steroid shot to keep her from itching, and is no longer allowed to participate in professional sports.

pics in a minute.

15. They were much smaller
When I found them they could both stand on my hand at once. A week and a half later they're almost twice as big as they were.

5. Hey, does your itchy cat have no fur on her bum/tail connection?
I have one who has licked off all her fur there. She grew it back once, but then it's started up again.

6. that's what she's doing.
She doesn't have fleas at all, so if the shot doesn't help the next guess is that she's stressed and she'll likely go on meds for that.

19. WEll my girl baby has zero reason to be stressed, nor does she have fleas. I thought maybe it was
dry skin because her fur grew back after she had gone on a spree of licking up tuna oil and margarine.

Trouble is, the vet is just not in out budget, so I am hoping we can think of something we can do at home.

18. What will you do with them?
It was so good of you to take them in....I was hoping you'd be their forever home.

Btw, you like just the way I had imagined you in my mind's eye. Weird, because I'm never right about these things.

20. 110% huh?
your cats seem to have a little extra "healthy" that they are not using.

I would watch that, if they get too much extra they get real annoying. My cat has been using her extra health to knock things off the bathroom sink...she's using it up real fast (ie., pissin' me off!) this could lead to a condition we know around here as S.Ki.D.S.: Sudden Kitty Death Syndrome.

We just took in another last week, his name is Otter. Pictures will be forthcoming...
