I have never heard of or seen a city chicken but my first job at age ten
was catching chickens for a chicken farmer with a wire coat hanger completely
stretched out and then a skinny six inch hook bent at one end. I kind of
scraped it along the ground and snagged them by the leg. No kidding, I got
25 cents per chicken !! Now you know the awful truth, I am a country girl raised
in farm country in the middle of nowhere surrounded by farmers and employed to
snag country chickens. Yes, those city chickens must surely ROCK!!!
