Gossip and secrets
I'm not really one to gossip unless someone has told me something that they would tell anybody. Then gossip and speculation are wide open as far as I'm concerned. But I am very good at keeping a secret. If someone tells me something and asks that I not tell anyone else then we have a pact. That usually happens when someone wants to talk about something that they would not trust everyone with. So I have secrets and currently I have one that is potentially life altering. Not for me, but for the confessor.

Are you good at keeping secrets?

1. May I ask you something?
If someone told you they were going to harm themselves, would you alert others to it?

I mean... it could be life or death, right?

Let me clarify: It is NOT me!

Oh, btw, I am good at keeping secrets.

4. All bets are off then, KC2
I will not stand by and watch someone kill themselves. If I cannot talk someone into getting help then I will call in the calvary. I won't call their friends or their parents. I'm dialing 911. Now, if someone were suicidal and I talked them into getting help, but they didn't want anyone to know about it- then we're cool. I know nothing.

I say this as someone who has been suicidal and has gotten help. I'm very happy that I'm here today, although everything looked very bad in the past. Life can change in a matter of minutes. I know that's for sure.

5. Thank you for confirming what I thought
When it's life or death, all bets are off. Thanks again. And, I'm happy you are with us too! You are so right... life can change in a matter of minutes.

2. My dear Droopy...
When it's really important, I can, and do, keep secrets.

But I love to gossip too!

;)
