Gifts for relatives you hate
Gift giving time is all year round, but the big one is sneaking up on us.

On your list is a relative you don't like but are obliged to gift. Most likely they have kids, a house that is like a showroom. and a lawn that looks like astro turf.

What gifts would you give them to make their lives miserable.

Let's say they have a boy, about nine years old and a five year old girl that has a voice that sounds like a table saw cutting through a knot. any combo of family is OK, the quality of the havoc is what is important.

Have at it.

1. Electric Guitar And Amplifier For The Boy
Drums for the girl. Hopefully, she will also sing to the music they make together all night long.

This is my vote.

As a matter of fact I don't buy holiday gifts for anyone over 18 except Mrs R. I use that money to 'adopt' a less fortunate family and buy THEM gifts, and I encourage others in my family to do the same instead of buying me a gift.

8. that is exactly what I do, Richardo
I find the general public's angst-inducing ritualistic yearly nonsense of buying crap for people who don't really need anything, well, pretty disturbing.

11. I was all set to have your Christmas present shipped, Richardo,
but I guess I'll have to return that Lexus to the dealer. I wish you had told me earlier about your gift policy.

13. Here you go ...

Give a gift to someone who really needs it .. a share of a goat, a warm blanket, etc. You get a card to give to your relative telling what you gave. We did it once when we couldn't get anything our relative wanted or appreciated. It's sort of awkward for them to show their disappointment. Hey, if they're not as bad as you think they are, they might even like it!
