How often do you use a pencil?

6. I use one when brainstorming new designs every day.

It is much faster to develop concepts that way. When I get a sketch banged into shape I refine it on the computer.

7. not often enough

I write so rarely that it's hard for me to fill out a withdraw/deposit slips at the bank. When my Grandmother asks me to write something down because she can't hear me, I find the task almost impossible.

or some such, hubby does use them however while doing art :)

One time I went searching for a pencil and found all my lost socks. They were having a singles party, but I put a stop to that.

Mechanical pencils (except for those yellow ones) are pretty worthless in my line of work.

I use a mechanical one constantly for making notes &c., if I were to use a real pencil for it I'd have to stop every few seconds to sharpen it. I despise biros and real pens are a nuisance when scrawling quickly, hence my preference for pencils.

20. Once in a while in a sportsbook

When I'm writing down the lines if I don't have a pen with me I'll grab a little pencil off the counter.

Overall, I hate pencils. It's an excellent excuse not to keep score on the golf course.
